The Byzantine Art Museum was designed with the aim of organizing the rotunda built by Emperor Constantinus and the monastery church and its immediate surroundings, which were recently constructed by Emperor Romanos I. Lakapenos (919-944) as a new cultural and educational center. Within the scope of the project, the region was analyzed from the peninsula scale up to the parcel and its immediate surroundings, and the concepts of Byzantine history, Byzantine art and museology were investigated and sample designs were examined.
