The aim of this project was to visually communicate a previous project concept through a 60 second film; to show the “big idea” behind a product in a time efficient, persuasive and emotionally powerful way. The course also introduced us to storyboarding methods, basic filming techniques, video editing - working in both Adobe Premier and After Effects, as well as looking into sound design. Learning many of these programs and techniques allowed us to highlight aspects and principles we considered in the physical interaction between the user and the product, either with audio feedback, visual indicators, or on-screen based information, that we previously lacked the tools and skills of visualizing these characteristics in a time-based media.
Hydrologic is a closed loop laundry system that is not connected to the home’s water infrastructure. The water inside runs through a series of filters and bio filters to be recycled in a continuous loop, thus preventing any harmful chemicals from entering the water system.
