Here’s a super group project that took the idea of the surrealists’ Exquisite Corpse game and went all out gaga. Nine artists, little paper scrolls inside small boxes, snail mail to distant lands, and a really wacky video.

Okay, more about this groovy group project:

Inspired by the “Exquisite Corpse” game of the Surrealists in the 20’s, and with the participation of a talented group of international artists, the “Exquisite Doodle” Artist Project required the players to doodle in succession on a little paper scroll set inside a small box.

Alex assembled the boxes, painted the covers, started the doodling on each of the scrolls, and mailed them out. From Alex’s studio in Madrid, Spain, all the “Exquisite Doodle” boxes made their way to the players living in Denmark, England, Australia, and the USA.

On the “Art In Communication” blog (http://artincommunication.blogspot.com) you’ll find the “Exquisite Doodle” Artist Project archive.
