This illustration project aims to represent the spirit of Halloween in a lighthearted fashion: the dark, the horror... and candy.
The scene was modelled in Blender, rendered in Cycles and then edited in Krita. It features the fakest fog ever: some planes with procedural gradients layered on top of each other, I also plugged musgrave noise to the vector socket to spice it up. Lousy, but noiseless.
I tried to keep recognizable geometric forms as a base for the designs of the creatures to achieve a stylized cartoony look.
The materials are meant to be realistic (ish) but the objects are not, so it looks like some kind of miniature model.
