Brandon Grotesque Condensed

Typography
Eight years after the initial release of Brandon Grotesque (2010), the typeface has grown into a font family of 48 styles, including a version for small sizes and the newly released condensed version. Today, Brandon Grotesque supports at least 116 languages, from Latin based languages to Greek and Cyrillic.
The Brandon super family consists of four different familes: Brandon Grotesque and the space saving Brandon Grotesque Condensed for the classic elegant, geometric feeling and Brandon Text and Brandon Text Condensed for long texts and small sizes.
Comparison: Basic forms Brandon Grotesque vs. Brandon Grotesque Condensed. The narrow ‘O’ has been the starting point for the condensed version.
The most difficult part of creating Brandon Condensed was to find the balance of the pointed letters like ‘A’ or ‘N’ — especially in the bolder weights.
Each of the four type families has 6 weights plus matching Italics making Brandon a super family of 48 fonts which can tackle nearly any design challenge faced by today’s organizations.
The weights range from a loud and strong black version with a unique character to an elegant and noble thin version giving exclusivity to every layout.
In 2018 we added the condensed version to Brandon Grotesque and Brandon Text to give an option for very space saving usage. Of course the Condensed version also stands for itself and has its very own aesthetics.
Comparison: The space saving Brandon Grotesque Condensed has a width of about 83% of the width of Brandon Grotesque.
We designed and printed a type specimen for the Brandon families. 48 Statements, insights and background information about the type families. The first 100 buyers of a complete condensed family will receive a signed copy.
Brandon Printed type specimen: 72 Pages — Designed by LIT Design Studio & HvD Fonts.
