The Plushie Project
Halfway through my 365-Day Challenge, a friend asked me to make a 3D plushie toy on livestream to show them my workflow and my art style. I took up the challenge and enjoyed it so much that I decided to make it a weekly event. Each week I'd get a fan to send me reference images of a plushie toy they wanted made in 3D, and then I'd take that idea from concept through to a fully textured, game-engine-ready piece - complete with a rendered splash image for flair.
All of this was done live, and while the very first one took me 6.5 hours, I'm now often able to produce a complete piece in under 40minutes.
Practice really does make perfect, I suppose.
