Digital Water Colour illustration: 

This image was created on Adobe Illustrator based off one of my friends. By creating my own water colour brushes, I could get the desired texture and and stroke that I wanted for the picture. 

The simple black lines (1pt in thickness) are placed over the top of the colour to add dimension and show the edges of the drawing, while the colour adds depth and texture.
