Using the old to create the new.
Challenging the topic of 'sustainability' SCUM CREATION (Jessica Willson,USA, and Andrea Körmer,GER) focused on the section of REDESIGN; REUSE; RECYCLE;REVALUE .
Studying in Växjö/Sweden for this time, we had to have a look at the local recycling and trash system first. Discovering a lot of second hand stores and also social communities like 'Macken' fixing and using old stuff and trash things again, we decided to go for this inspiring way even further.

creation made out of old floor panel pieces. combinded the creation of a lampshade appeares. through its material shape and pattern, Lightbox creates a nice and comfy atmosphere to every room.
Material: old floor panels, cable binder, plywood and lighting
Technique: binden the 4 floorpanel toghether to create a quare. giving it a bottom/top made out of
plywood.Adding lighting to it to create a lampshade.
Alternative: Usa for storage!

But this was not the end of our project:
We plan to give new students who are moving to university the chance to create their own useful and also sustainable interieur! Why alsways buy new stuff for a short time of living at one place?
We would like to do DIY creative design workshops with them at our different and internation universitiesa nd also share these ideas and our for sale design online!
