In 2012, with the support of Talenthouse, the opportunity to design a sleeve opened up worldwide to contemporary artists and designers to create their own visual interpretation of the seven tracks. These designs joined a bunch of big names from art and design in the exhibition.
Thousands of designs were submitted, people flew in from around Europe to see the exhibition, queued to get inside when they went on sale and Secret 7" ended up raising an incredible £33,500. However, none of the buyers knew who created the sleeve, or even which song was on the vinyl , until they have parted with their cash - the secret lies within.
My design was one of the lucky 40 which was made into a 7" vinyl and exhibited and sold at the Secret 7" exhibition. The vinyl was sold for £40 and went toward Teenage Cancer Trust.
