Six years ago, my husband suggested that I draw sketches for gingerbread boards so that he could cut out gingerbread boards and rolling pins for cookies from these sketches. I did not immediately accept this idea. A lot has changed since then, and now sketching is my main occupation. And our project now is the Rhododendron gingerbread workshop, in which the husband and wife, the master of woodcarving and the artist. The artist comes up with sketches, and the master cuts products: rolling pins and dies for cookies and gingerbread boards. In addition, we bake printed cakes and cookies.
This project is cookie dies from the series "Spring Bloom".
We showed our favorite and expensive images of plants and flowers that we have seen every spring since childhood.
In addition, a short production process is shown here: how cookies are made, how brands look for cookies, how pictures are made, and where inspiration is drawn from.
It looks like a finished cookie.
Some photos of the cooking process.
Stamps for cookies from the series "Spring Bloom", which made my husband.
This is the search for a suitable form of plants. After all, when creating a sketch it is very important that it is suitable for wood carving techniques.
Spring is a wonderful time for inspiration! It is impossible to go out without a camera, because so many excellent references for work are awaiting!
Thanks for watching!
