Digitally painted fox

Digitally painting a fox with my first digital art display tablet. The tablet in question is a Huion GT-191 and I'm doing this painting in Photoshop. The idea is to create a bunch of woodland critters to use in PSA-style digital signage at my work. This will be a "don't get out-foxed" or "sly as a fox" type of message, likely pertaining to keeping an eye on your belongings or remembering to logoff from various computer systems, etc.
First, I started with a semi-rough outline based on some photos I found on Creative Commons Zero sites. This is very much just a framework to work colours into. The face will end up looking very different -- this is based off a very young fox, but the colouring I want is more of an adult fox. So that's what I'll be running with, I hope. I haven't painted anything for a long time, let alone digitally.
Then I started building the face with layers of colour. Things are looking kind of blurry/foggy for a reason. I want to lay the base colours down before I better define things and start adding textures.
And I kept building and adding texture and more shading. The idea of fur is starting to be worked into the picture. An ear is beginning to form.

This is still a work in progress, so more will be added as I continue with it.
Finally got both ears done and I'm relatively happy with the face/head at this point. I can start working on the rest of the signage composition.
The fox itself is basically done. The rest is just mocked up to show where I'm going with this for our digital PSAs.
