Pintave is a brand of colouring books for adults and children to share, relax and learn together. The name Pintave comes from the mixture between the Spanish words: Pintar + Ave + Venezuela
(Paint + Birds + Venezuela).
The idea behind the books is to show species of beautiful and interesting birds that are resident or have their migratory routes through different areas of Venezuela.
For this project I worked as the graphic designer and illustrator for the first two books of the series, based in Margarita Island.
Each illustration has a composition with the birds to be coloured and a smaller bird to show the original colours of that particular species.
Both books needed to work together but they also needed to work individually. The idea behind the book for adults was to depict the animal as it really is, but the children’s book is having funny cartoons of each animals so its more suitable for them.
33 illustrations where created for the adult book and 20 for the children's book.
