ANIMALO - recreational complex with animal therapy

MASTER THESIS I DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE I SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
Tutor: arch. Jerzy Wojewódka, PhD, Eng

The designed object geared towards improving the quality of life of people with mental disabilities. Its purpose is to fulfill a dual function - to provide an attractive time of relaxation, supplemented with therapy. In addition to the classic forms of rehabilitation, patients can use the extensive infrastructure for hippotherapy, onotherapy and other activities that use the healing effects of animals. The planned complex consists of three zones divided into separate buildings: recreational, therapeutic and animal culture. The inspiration for the project’s design comes from the physical location of the object. The surroundings are rolling terrain with arable fields sown in stripes.
The whole complex has been designed to meet the above-mentioned functions and to provide guests with appropriate conditions for development at various levels.
