THE BRIEF
As a digital marketing coordinator at Flywheel Strategic, I was tasked with enhancing the company's blog and social media presence with branded infographics. For these three projects, I collaborated with a colleague to research the most pertinent facts to each topic, then independently designed the graphics using brand colours and typefaces.
FACEBOOK INFOGRAPHIC
This was posted as a blog post as a response to user concerns when Facebook made yet another change to their algorithm. With a lot of information to include in just one image, I kept the design clean and linear, using a vertical timeline with which many users are familiar. I created a few icons and used them sparsely to add visual cues without overwhelming the reader.
CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS INFOGRAPHIC
This was used in an email campaign and on a blog post during Cyber Security Awareness month. Each bubble has a corresponding icon which I created to engage the viewer in the topic and help educate. Many of the recipients of the email campaign were not digitally savvy, meaning the language and iconography had to be clear and interesting to help illustrate the points.
INSTAGRAM INFOGRAPHIC
To boost the company's Instagram presence and promote their new social media strategy white paper after its initial launch, I created this infographic. As Instagram had just introduced galleries, I designed one comprehensive image as a blog post and six panels to scroll through on Instagram. This one presented the biggest challenge, as each fact had subpoints with a wide variation in content from long lists to graphs. I kept the format as similar as possible across all panels to create the illusion of consistency.
THE RESULT
All of the graphics gained above-average engagement on social media and added to the company's overall branded presence. Having so much creative freedom allowed me to learn new design techniques and have a hand in developing the brand's visual identity going forward.
