We were invited by the Royal Society of the Arts to create this introduction to their 'RSA Shorts' video series. The RSA is an organisation dedicated to enriching society through ideas and actions. They believe that all people have 'creative capacities that, when understood and supported, can be mobilised to deliver a 21st century enlightenment'.
We developed two unique characters with their own personalities seen in details in their clothing and styles: watches. tattoos, socks etc.
We first created a 2D sketch and later developed the 3D models with some variation in the details.
The scene opens with our characters bored at home, yawning and throwing a paper plane. The living is all one shade of blue which is transformed when they start watching the RSA video. The room comes alive with colour and shapes and gravity disappears as the magic takes over.
Initially we developed a simple story board to explain the idea and imagine the scene.
