VICE
Founded in Montreal, Canada, in 1994, the magazine started as a government-funded project, as part of a community-building welfare programme. Then known as the Voice of Montreal, it was originally run by three friends - Shane Smith, Suroosh Alvi and Gavin McInnes - and became the Voice before Vice was finally born.
Adam Brucegirdle was the most recent creative director for the vice magazine. Before this he was the creative director for AKQA which is a digital agency that specialises in creating digital products and services. Adam is now working as the artistic director of Stella McCartneyBrucegirdle began his later education with an architecture course at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).However, he then transferred to an Art History course at the University of Calgary which he studied alongside a Visual Communication/Design course at Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD).
