2) 2010 NEW YEAR'S EVE POSTER
The 2nd annual poster used to promote a church New Year's eve concert. This time, the concept was to ring in the New Year's with celebration, but also tranquility. The theme was 'Awake my soul and sing'. To capture this, the illustration shows a pensive figure, with a glowing silhouette reaching upwards. The simplicity in the background helps accent the typography and image. Keeping with the theme of music, the bible verse was used as a graphic (lights of a decibel meter on a soundboard). This was a creative way of integrating the text without having too much apparent text on the poster. Only if you move up closer to the poster, does one realize that the light meter is actually text.
