    The involvement of Senegal’s private pharmacies in family planning services is consistent with the multisectoral approach promoted by the Government of Senegal to achieve its goal of increasing its modern contraceptive prevalence rate (mCPR) from 12 percent in 2012 to 45 percent in 2020. As part of this strategy, a contribution of 28 percent is expected from the private sector.
