1. A Dance for a Line
This project was an investigation of the line. We began by doing a drawing with 1,000 lines, which we then turned into an animation. We used the ideas from the animation as the basis for physical constructions where we explored form and order and logic.
2. A Space for a Dancer
Then next part of the project was an exploration of the plane and planar constructs. We started again with a drawing and an animation that became the basis for our investigations. We also began engaging with a ground and a program of dance.
3. A House for a Dance
In the final part of the semester, we continued integrating our forms and logic with the site and the program.
