Meeting the sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents (ASRH), including young adolescents, is important, yet little evidence on the long-term effectiveness of ASRH programmes is available to guide development of current ASRH programming. Through this study, we followed up with the now adults who were exposed to an intervention associated with Health and Family Life Education (HFLE) that sought to bring out the ‘STAR’ (Smart, Togetherness, Attitude Positive, Respectful and Ready) in young adolescents (ages 10-12) in Jamaica in the early 2000s.
