Meet Proto! He’s a robot with an unknown and mysterious origin, being that he’s the only robot with soul magic. Not much is known of how he came to be, other than he has a human soul inside of him, which gives him his powers. He has a hypothesis that his creator cast it on to him as a curse, hut there’s no way to prove it true or false. He’d rather not think about it. He hides his powers from most, since only the humans are capable of using magic in his world, where as all the robots rely on weaponry. Because of this, he can be classified as a “cursed object” since he was planted with a soul by someone else’s power. Once again however, there’s no evidence as to who he originally was built by, or why he was built to require a soul for activation. 

As for his personality, he’s very secretive, very shy, and extremely emotional. His powers are directly tied to his emotions, so he tries his best to always keep his cool in stressful situations. His magic is beyond powerful, and he’s one hell of a fighter if he needs to be. Others see him as a one of a kind powerhouse, when deep down he dreams of being a quiet pacifist. He’s mostly pessimistic, but tries his best not to come off as being too down. Despite his shy nature, he loves making friends and sticking by their sides! More to come as I work more with his character! 

Since Proto's powers are directly tied to his emotions, he’s gotta get really pissed off/desperate to be able to activate his offensive magic like this. Luckily for him (if you can even call it that) he’s naturally an emotional robot, so getting upset enough under a threatening circumstance to activate them to this level isn’t hard to accomplish. 

When his soul magic is at full strength, he’s almost completely unstoppable. There’s a reason he tends to avoid using them unless it’s an absolute last resort; and that’s because that most of the time he’s actually pretty damn scared of how own powers and what they’re actually capable of.
