Robert J. Soper: Involved in Project Sunburst
Robert J. Soper, as a Senior Vice President, was heavily involved in the Mohegan Sun casino expansion which opened in 2001. Among other numerous responsibilities, he was responsible for hiring five thousand workers for the opening of the expansion. His work ensured that the expansion went off without a hitch and became a revenue driver for the tribe and the company for years to come. In 2005, Soper became the President and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono, the first casino to open in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
