CHROMA
CHROMA is a museum exhibition about the history of the pigments used in paint. The name comes from the Greek word that encompasses the English words color, paint, and pigment. The central elements to my design are the strong black and white typography, the three primary colors, and the splashes of photographed “pigments.” These elements are carried throughout the exhibit to create cohesion among the pieces. To advertise the exhibit I chose to “accidentally” spill pigment down the stairs in order to get the publics
attention. The narrative literature is made in the form of paint swatches
and introduces exhibit goers to CHROMA.
