Japanese Carnivorous Women
This is a super fun infographic I got to do in relajaelcoco's workshop. They provided us with a few topics to choose from and I decided on Japan's birth rate. After doing some research I stumbled upon the concept of "Carnivorous women" and I thought it could be pretty cool to make an infographic out of such an interesting topic.
‘Carnivorous women’ are 20 to 30 y/o heterosexual women who are passionate about their job, are not interested in marriage and feel apathetic about men and sex. These women don't fit Japan's cookie cutter concept of what a woman is supposed to be, and are one of the reasons of why the birth rate is so low: they have no desire to form a family.
In this infographic I analyzed some of the intricacies of these women. Enjoy!
It's fun to see how much I sticked to my first sketches! It makes sense though, we only had a few hours to complete this infographic.
Even though this one it's pretty illustration based, I learned a lot about infographics! Can't wait to make some more.
