My projectis about Israeli wildflowers.
Regrowing wild plants, that grow inwinter and witherd dry up and die by summer.
Their shortlife cycle always fascinated me. People tend to take wildflowers for granted -just weeds.
The aesthetics of these weeds is the heart of myproject.
I wanted to elevate them and perpetuate the existence of their shorttransient.
The project was printed with spacial textile dyethat respond to heat and light.
My project is about creating fabrics that respond to the environment and are dynamic like nature.
my design proses started with the plantsthemselves - a combination of scanning and printing.
I found myself drawing the wildflowes in order topreserve their memory by hand, with reference to a traditional textile pattern.
