Carters / OshKosh B'Gosh Internship Project
During my summer this year, 2018, for six weeks I had the pleasure to be a creative art intern at Carters / OshKosh B'gosh in Atlanta, Georgia. During my time there I learned not only about how they approach and execute their art/designs, but I also learned more about the fashion industry. What fabrics, silhouttes, appliqués, printing methods, print ways, special apparel effects, and stitches are cost effective, durable, safe, and the best choice for the ideal outcome. I took all of this and my experience of creating characters, typography, print and patterns, appliqués, and graphics during my first 5 weeks working with my team and started my individual internship project.
I created a collection based around the central idea of farming, since in the kid industry farm animals, icons, or the general topic is not marketed very often, so I wanted to challenge myself to make it more marketable. I started off with just a few pieces in mind, but the more time I spent on this project the more I enjoyed it and ended up creating more pieces then expected.
Please Enjoy!

The illustrations/designs as a whole is suppose to represent a transitional collection from summer to fall, with the idea of farming being captured in each article of clothing/accessory.
