In 2013 I was a winner of the Spoken Word for the World poetry competition hosted by Global Call for Climate Action. I was able to travel to Paris for the UN Climate Change negotiations with 4 other APIA poets. We shared stories about our family's direct experience at the front lines of global warming, at protests, direct actions, gatherings of world leaders for #COP21... And on trains.
