A few years ago, the economy wasn't so great. Sales were declining. Advertising budgets were evaporating. So we created a holiday card that gave our clients a much-needed gift for those lean times: free advertising, created by robots. The online experience let clients type in their company name, product and contact information, and then choose a popular commercial genre. In seconds (using text-to-speech technology) they had a personalized TV spot featuring robot actors who spoke with great eloquence and passion about the company and product they endorsed.
We also sent our clients a DM package that introduced the concept and supplied them with some customizable robot postcards they could use right away as direct mail pieces.
