Commute App — Connecting Your Journey with Others
This project was in accompaniment to a visualising experience brief that asked us to create a design solution to our chosen problem. The issue was focused on the individuality of taking public transport, in particular, taking the train. Our chosen solution was to design an application that connected the journey of others taking this form of public transport, to create a more engaging and connected platform for all.
The app that I had designed included similar features to commonly used applications for public transport, with the additional features of being able to know the amount of people taking the train, how many trips the train has taken, as well as information about other trains currently active. Each individual would have the ability to see the journey of other trains in the vicinity of the current city.
In addition to the deliverables, a video was made to interpret the experience of the app in a realistic environment. However, the visualisation of the app in the video was still in the early stages of development.
