Hi, I'm Daisy Munoz, a passionate & curiousity-driven graphic & web designer. I specializes in creating brands & experiences that find balance between creativity & logic.

I've struggled with designing my own brand identity mainly due to the fact that I'm indecisive when it comes to designing anything for myself. I'm sure I'm not the only designer that has this issue, but this concept is something I am extremely proud of. I believe I created a mark that represents my ideals not only as an individual but in business as well. 

My original visual identity was create back in 2013 during my final semester of school. I have since grown & learned so much over the years that to reflect this, I tasked myself with rebranding my visual identity. Inspired by new experiences & my growth as a designer, I began to explore ways to create something new & fresh.
CONCEPT & CONSTRUCTION

My new identity is a metaphor for who I am & how I want my brand personality to be perceived—simple, sincere & sophisticated. Through the concept of “Back to Basics”, the logomark & wordmark is based on the fundamentals of basic shapes & the golden ratio.

Tall, rectangular shapes showcase the “D” & “M” of my initials in its most sincere & honest form. The logomark is complemented by a bold weighted, geometric typeface to showcase the simplicity of each letterform with the purpose of expressing objectiveness & strength.

There are three ways the visual identity may be presented. As a stand alone logomark, wordmark & the full lockup.
COLOUR PALETTE & PATTERN

I wanted to select a colour palette that was timeless & classic. Hence the black & white as the dominating colours. For the accent colour, I chose a bright yellow. I wanted something that I can use subtly yet still packed a punch with its brightness. My main inspiration for the yellow is based off of the centre of a daisy flower.  

Drawing inspiration from the flower, the elements of the mark is used to create a flower like pattern.
