Players Only is a spec piece that was derived from the original design frames created for a pitch. After falling in love with the designs and overall tone, I took the opportunity to take some of the sets built to create this short spec spot for the NFL Players Only opening titles. The idea was to create monolithic statues of different players in mid-game action. The location is eluding to a moody, dimly lit sound stage which is primarily lit by the illumination of the LED screens pulsing to the beat of the music. In the end, the real challenge was to create enough movement and interest from these highly detailed static statues. The solution was a quick editorial, driven by the camera work, music and animation of the LED walls.
