Architects from Almaty Vilnius Architects have created a concept for the contest of office space for a large mining and metallurgical company.
Kazakhmys is the largest copper manufacturer in Kazakhstan and one of the leading natural resources mining and processing companies.
The first floor has a reception area, an elevator lobby with stairs, and a public space with the possibility of exhibition events. The upper floors are closed to the public. The internal work departments are located there.
A small number of materials are used for interior finishes. Copper elements act as the basis, because copper is the company's main product. And also, the floor and walls clad in stone, the benches and reception desk made of solid rock are like the material from which the useful elements are mined. Elevator finishes are also made of copper, but depending on the floor, the degree of oxidation changes. Thanks to this, the colors have a dynamic pattern.
