Futura
Introduction:
Futura is a font that has been used extensively in the past ninety years. Created by Paul Renner in 1927, the font utilizes a constructivist and geometric style that makes it incredibly unique. It was extensively marketed as the inspiring spirit of modernity; “the typeface of today and tomorrow.” Slick and simple, Futura gained extensive popularity throughout the twentieth century. Oftentimes today it is used as for headlines and bold phrases, yet it is also used in many corporate logos. The list includes HP, Supreme, Volkswagen, and Party City. Futura is easily recognizable by name too, as many writers, essayists, graphic designers, bibliographers, artists, and story writers use it in their works.

The Futura typeface is mainly successful because of its sleek and simple font. It’s sans serif, meaning there are no lines attached to the ends of each letter. It gets rid of all the unnecessities and presents something that strikes the eye in a profound way. The legibility of Futura also brings it great praise and attraction, and also heavy use. Ask anyone about the font, and they know Futura will last as an amazing font for another hundred years.
