3500 Plant Species of the Botanic Gardens of Indonesia
Layout and graphic design for published book
This 1200 page encyclopedia needed to be designed for ease of use. Major sections were colour coordinated by major plant groups, which serendipitously, created a beautiful effect along the sides of the bound pages. I was responsible for the overall graphic design, and also illustrated the plant diagrams with guidance from the Bogor Botanic Gardens resident researchers. The magnitude of this project under Sukarya was daunting, working together with teams of writers from the Botanic Gardens to make this book a reality.
This project was done as a team under Sukarya
with me supervising the design team.
The book weighs approx. 2 kg, and is 1200 pages long.
