"Cynthia Land" is a personal project of mine. I made this project because I wanted to improve my skill as an illustrator and learn more about using colors. This is my final year of university, I was a bit worried that maybe my illustration is not good enough, so I decided to make something bigger than I have ever made before. In the past I never created something this big (a single illustration) using Photoshop, so this was quite a challenge for me. I wanted to learn more about colors in illustration that bring out the mood of drawing, so I decided to use pink, red, purple, blue, yellow, orange, and green to sense a magical and happy feeling of this theme park.

I always interested in drawing things that I find beautiful and make me feel happy. When I think of magical and happy place, theme park is one of the places that I thought. Anything you can imagine, would probably found in there. In my dream theme park, I imagine that there's a beautiful purple castle in the middle, there's also a circus tent, a pirate ship, a rocket, dolls' performance, a snow-globe & presents that remind me of Christmas, a carousel, balloons, a ferris wheel, hot air ballon, and many more. It is a representation of my happy place, a place where I can find joy, when in reality I found myself feeling uncertain about my future.
