My childhood was mostly lived around the coffee fields of Wayanad District.
The homeland of various tribal communities.

Our neighboring village is where the Paniya community lives. As a kid,
I was fascinated by their lifestyle which was intricately connected to nature.
They found their food and medicine within nature .
Their religion had deep cultural roots embedded in nature - they worship
animals, birds, trees, rocks and snakes and almost everything that comes from it.
Old Paniya women still use earrings made of dried leaves filled with bee wax
on one side and small red seeds on the other. Now the younger generation
has given up most of these distinctive styles and adopted today's styles and fashions.

Times are changing. Nature is being altered. Traditions are disappearing.
But the kid in me is still curious about those earrings.
And I try to find my answers through art and the TIMETRIANGLE.
