​I've always had an affinity for small boxes, jars, vessels of any sort. It seem to me that the smaller the vessel the more precious the contents. Think about the medicine bottle, how important that could be to ones health. Or a ring box and how much that could change ones life. Even the salt shaker and cellar, and how precious that has been throughout history. These vessels have all been fitted together with the minimum of manipulation on my part. All the pieces have been found on the ground, dug out of the earth, or thrown away by someone else. Collected by me and put together during little serendipitous moments of making.
