One of the most amazing facts about life is its spectacular complexity. Even decades into the molecular biology revolution this still exceeds our wildest imagination.
In the PhD Symposium "Complexity of Life" we explored the frontiers of biological complexity and furthermore address how to approach this scientifically.
The symposium included sessions on the different levels of complexity present in biology. We began at the level of single cells, and then tackle the complexities of cell populations, organisms and finally that of communities.
