Jame` Mar’aa is a publication which employed a
very particular saturated aesthetic as a subversion of the visuals collected from hairdressers across my neighbourhood in Beirut. Despite its over-crowded nature, the book was able to maintain a system of communication throughout its different sections, based on the sections of tabloid magazines women often read at the hairdresser’s.
