These banner and block ads were created with no direction from the clients. I was provided with the ad copy for these businesses that did not have existing logos or websites and the ads were created using stock images.

These banner and block ads were created taking visual cues and logos from the businesses' existing websites and using their logos. The ad copy was provided by the client which I used along with their websites and logos to create ads that displayed a unity with their existing aesthetic. I very strongly felt that when clicking on these ads that the customer should feel like these ads were created in tandem with all other materials for the businesses.

Recreated From Existing Ads

These may have been ads that already appeared in other publications, or they may have been ads that were created for this publication but needed to be reformated to another size. Often these had small changes to ad copy. Some were black and white and required color, often a certain color requested by the client, to be added when recreated. These often provided the most challenge because the former ads were radically different in dimension and aspect ratio. Often they required recreation of a printed logo, such as DeMond, and used odd typefaces that had to be tracked down. These required the ability to know when and what could be altered to keep the look and feel of the previous ad while reformating it to a different size/medium.

During a two month contract for My Pallette in Peoria, Il I was tasked with creating banner and block ads for their online publication www.USACommunityGuides.com for small businesses around the country. In this position I was responsible for creating upwards of thirteen ads a day with as little direction as just the ad copy or as much direction as being provided a full ad to recreate in the format the client purchased.

I was also responsible for creating listings for the businesses, occasionally creating printable coupons depending on which package the client purchased, uploading the ads, and making sure that the cities which would host the ads were up to date with their campaigns and everything appeared as it should on the wordpress platform.
