“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” 

Quoted by Hamilton after an important victory in a 2016 season race, this was the “theme” I picked as inspiration for the new helmet design. 

Ruling out the existing design (on date), I wanted through some design elements connected to the quote (the butterfly, the bee and the honeycomb maze) to create an inspiring and motivational design. 

The matching of the main shapes and colors intend to show a mix of dynamic and aggressive lines, making this an iconic design and full of personal meaning to give an “extra boost” to the driver’s fight for the 2017 season title. 

Keeping the same design, I tried different suggestions with other color sets. 

The pre-determined “untouched” areas to be left for the sponsors Logos could have created some design limitations, but they were well integrated in the design lines.
