We were engaged by CapitaLand’s leasing department in January 2017 to enrich their retail mall brand, The Oxygen, and develop their presence on Facebook. The Oxygen is a three-story, 8,000 square metres community mall, located on the ground floor of The Vista, a high-end CapitaLand residential development. Our strategy would be to combine high quality graphic design with a well managed Facebook to increase engagement both online and off.
We got to work first by designing custom materials for monthly events and working to reshape the visual style of the mall interior.
One of the interior highlights is the parking garage way-finding. For this project, visibility was key. With a clean slate and the driver’s view in mind, we positioned our signage, unobstructed by the heights of cars. Our colors were a contrasting blue, green and white which were used both as design elements and as highlights for key directional points.
On the social media front, we produced every kind of content imaginable and used their Facebook as a canvas to build community engagement and increase their brand awareness.
We created custom illustrations and promotional materials for themed monthly events.
As an incentive for the current vendors and to attract other vendors, we produced different animations and short video clips as advertising content on The Oxygen Facebook.
After one year, the look and feel of the mall as well as the engagement on social media had improved dramatically. The Oxygen brand was successfully positioned as a perfect place for the residents to meet up with green landscape and a dynamic ambience.
