This is a boathouse project designed for Noxubee County Refuge in Starkville, MS. The concept was based off of an analysis of rowing, and being able to move the large boats in and out of the facility.
An initial analysis of rowing used to generate ideas about what the building should be and how it should connect with the surrounding context.
What this analysis revealed was there's a strong connection between the boat, the person and the pivot point of the oars.
