Photography work from 2006, re-edited in 2013.
Shinjuku is one of those skyscraper jungles of Japan. Unlike its surrounding, buzzing neighbourhoods, Kabukichou, Ueno, and Tokyo, the skyscraper jungle is quiet, and rather calm. At the ground level gusts blow from the winds these buildings pick up. Looking above, all you see is a giant man-made structure and the empty sky. Nothing else.
I was still in highschool when I took these photographs, and I still remember the cold winds that swirled when I was taking these photos with my first DSLR. I reedited these shots this year after looking through my collection of photographs I've taken over the years. These photos were barely presented since that time, and the pictures themselves begged to be re-edited.
