The San Diego Latino Film Festival holds a contest every year for the poster of the event. The following is my poster submission and poster series I created along with it.
The poster was created with the values of innovation, progressiveness, and movement. The Latino culture within filmaking is of persistence, pride and drive. The Latino filmmaking culture has imprinted a bold presence in the larger filmmaking culture and a festival such as the San Diego Latino Film Festival is essential to that growth. The poster demanded a bold presence to match the scene. Bold type stretched into its free-flowing and hard-edged form over a variation of warm and cold textures felt as the best choice to call to all people and turn their attention to the San Diego Latino Film Festival.
