Elementary School in the city of Athens
Ιn collaboration with: Thanasis Farangas
The site is located in the center of the city of Athens, near leoforos Alexandras street. The tall buildings and the lack of “green” spaces is what characterizes this area the most. This environment makes it difficult for young children to adopt in everyday conditions.
The purpose and main idea of this project is to create a friendly environment for children and protective space inside the urban grid. This educational facility will provide the option of an educational space compined with an area to exercise and play. The building will be a staircase and each and every class will be a step higher in the educational level of a child.
Taking that into consedaration the shape of the building is trying to embrace and gradually make students ready for the next level.
