From fabric development to final product, this was a homegrown project. Starting with an assortment of warp knitted fabrics, I created composite fabrics and specific textile designs for each part of the shoe, which were placed on the fabric thanks to Epson printing technology. With the help of Brooklyn Shoe Space in Brooklyn, NY, the fabrics were transformed into the final product. Over the course of the weekend I learned how to make a pair of shoes by hand, from patterning to lasting. These shoes later appeared at the Epson NYFW 2018 event, to kick off fashion week and put an emphasis on digital printing technologies.
