The pure beauty of this lotus leaves inside me a sense of indebtedness. It peacefully expressed the elegance of my loving Vietnam, reminding me about where I have nurtured a soul full of simple love and preserved a heart of idyllic values.
"Hi, I'm Vietnamese."
I took this photo unintentionally. It was when I put my bottle on the table that the water inside gorgeously merged with the beam of sunshine, and that scene made me happy. I then found a bouquet of flowers lying around and placed it next to the bottle. An epiphany appeared to me. This bottle filled with transparent water and this little flowerpot, both turned beautiful in their own ways, and an allegory subtly crossed my mind at such a moment. It expressed appreciation of unique elegance whether it comes to simplicity or flamboyance, whether it was a simple bottle of water or a bunch of multicolored flowers. Everyone of us human beings is beautiful.
This photo was taken on New Year's Eve of Vietnamese lunar new year or Tet. I and my sister were watching traditional programme named Tao Quan, sometimes cheerfully disturbed by my loving papa 's laughters from the front yard. He was setting up a lantern, and my loving mama was preparing for annual traditional ritual worships. Coziness, love, traditional values and tranquility, this photo embraces them all, with a heart called Tet.
Khoảnh khắc này được chụp vào đêm giao thừa dịp Tết năm ngoái khi mình và em gái đang ngồi xem Táo Quân, tiện tay trang trí mấy dây màu đỏ lên cành mai. Ba đang treo chiếc đèn lồng ngoài hiên còn mẹ thì đang chuẩn bị cho đợt cúng giao thừa. Mai lúc này vẫn chưa kịp nở, cả nhà đang chờ pháo bông, vẫn chưa ăn cơm và cùng vui trong không khí chỉ có Tết mới có được. Không khí ấy khiến mình thèm thuồng từng khoảnh khắc trôi qua. Mình lại thèm Tết đến.

This lantern is aesthetic with its exquisite decoration of traditional blossoms, but it becomes beautiful to infinity and beyond with its priceless existence in peaceful moments I have shared with my family.
This photo features Duc Ba church and was taken while I was wandering around a corner of Saigon near the bookstreet. I was thrilled at its architecture, elated at those pigeons flying around. For a moment, I found myself part of its soul.
Looking at this photo, I am overwhelmed with a sense of inner-peace.
She bought a mask for the upcoming Halloween and promised to buy me some coffee if I took a photo of her.

This photo once again features a serene combination of natural colours with the same subjects as those above yet with a different angle. The patch of sunlight no longer appeared but a blurred blue sky instead. All turned darkened yet still calm. For a moment, I found it familiar to life, a life with different angles of perspectives leading to different ways of thinking. Whether it is shining or somewhat gloomy, it calmly stands still in mind.
I am seemingly always lost in the art of the simple world around.
I sometimes want to keep my hometown always new to the concept of modernization and industrialisation, so unspoiled for me to see the sky of clouds without any shade of skyscrapers, and I am sometimes selfish to hope so.
