I began my process by deconstructing the Helvetica A by itself in about thirty different ways, using various media and techniques.
From There I chose three A's that worked the most, and pushed them even further to achieve the desired look.
The selection of A's was then narrowed down to this rendered version which appealed to me the most. After completing the single letter A, I went on to make the letters "PLY" using the same technique.
Once the letters were made, I then had to adjust them accordingly for kerning and placement, so that they would work as whole unit; rather than separate letters.
Finally I expanded upon my favorite design placement of the three; creating a couple of color palettes that suited the composition. This project is my first experience with graphic design work, and I am eager to create more after this process.
