Today I set out to the Forest (Yes I did say Forest, and Yes I’m in Iceland) near my home to find some of my favorite mushroom Amanita muscaria as I knew this was the right time to find them.
I had my camera and my macro lens as a weapon determined to do my best to shoot them no matter what.
I was lucky, cause after few minutes’ walk I found a bunch of them calling out to me “we are here”, hello, hello. Well we enjoyed each other company for a while, chatting and filming. The only thing missing was the tartan red and white picnic cloth and traveling provisions.
One of my favorite things to do is to go out with my macro lens exploring what’s under my feet as I know there is a whole new world to discover. Somehow I get closer to Mother earth when I’m macro shooting and I feel I’m in better contact. Strangely I have to macro shoot occasionally to be able to feel the wide landscape photography. I feel I’m better grounded. Well that’s only me.
